The cyclist was startled but soon cheered up and took the baby to the local police station.

The dog may have stumbled upon the poor baby during a food run and took responsibility for itself to stop someone who could help him.

Fortunately, the doctor’s examination concluded that the baby was fine and healthy.

When the heroic deeds of the stray dog ​​made it to the local news, volunteers with the rescue Hope for Strays rushed into the mountains hoping to find the helpful pup. Instead, they met a man who claimed the dog named Blacky belonged to him.

“He took us on the way to his house, and to our surprise, Blacky was there with three other dogs,” Ybarita said. “We have confirmed that he is not a wanderer at all.”

Rescuers were relieved that Blaky had a loving home, but it was clear the dog and his family still needed help. “[Blacky’s owner] said, ‘No matter how hard life is, even if I’m poor, I’m going to feed all my dogs and take care of them,'” Ybarita said.

Since then, Blaky and his family have received significant community support, including donations of food, pet supplies and more. While Blacky may not know it, he changed the future for him, his family and a very lucky baby girl. Blacky’s behavior is the best proof of how great a dog is.
