Stray Pup In Dire Situation Screams For Help And Says Paw Prayers She Is Heard

In many parts of the United States, as temperatures rise, stray animals are left to fend for themselves in the heat. They spend their time foraging, seeking shelter, and attempting to avoid harm and danger. On the hot, dirty streets of southern Texas, an emaciated little puppy found herself in a dangerous situation. The innocent puppy would almost certainly die if someone didn’t come along and help her.
When a homeowner heard a commotion outside, she got up to find out what was making the noise. The sight of a skinny puppy fighting for her life saddened and shocked her. She was infested with parasites and fleas, was severely dehydrated, and had her head stuck in a bucket of water. She quickly removed the bucket from the terrified little girl’s head and began to crash. Thankfully, the good Samaritan assisted the pup in his fight for survival.
She moved her to a cooler spot out of the sun, then gave her some Pedialyte and NutriCal to help her get some nutrition into her system. The dog was rushed to a local rescue organization, but she required more medical attention than the organization could provide. Dallas Dog – Rescue.Rehab.Reform stepped in to help her and took her in. “It’s difficult to watch some of these dogs suffer and go without medical care, even though we’re stretched thin,” they wrote on Facebook.
She is progressing well as of this writing, and they have decided to name her Calli.
