Puppy With Brain-Damage, Curled Up To Hide, Couldn’t Lift His Head To Thank Rescuer
March 17, 2022A young puppy was brutally beaten on the head by his cruel owner before being abandoned on the street. He deserved love and affection, but at such a young age, he witnessed the worst of humanity. He required immediate medical attention, but many people passed him by as if he didn’t exist.
Thankfully, a caring woman noticed his suffering and offered to take him in from the harsh streets. His trauma was a source of concern for her and her son. A head injury at such a young age and size could result in permanent brain damage. They try to pick him up, but he’s completely disoriented. He curls up again and again, as if he wants to hide from the world.
After returning home with the woman a few hours later, he tries to make eye contact with her. His sweet little face keeps looking for hers, but he’s having trouble finding her. His head injury makes it difficult for him to concentrate. He’s doing his best to thank his rescuers in his own unique way, and it’s quite impressive.
They rush over as soon as the vet can see the puppy. The veterinarian performs several tests on the puppy and states that only time will tell how well he will recover. All they have to do now is wait. A brain injury like this can go either way, realistically. His injuries may heal and allow him to live a somewhat normal life, or they may worsen. His rescuer sobs because she has already fallen head over heels in love with the puppy. He needs to live and he needs to thrive! The puppy then thanks the vet with lots of kisses.
The puppy eats, drinks, and plays when he feels like it back at his rescuer’s house. He improves every day, which is a fantastic sign! The best part is when he starts to feel better and wags his tail. The little guy is overjoyed, indicating that he is no longer in pain.
The puppy has come a long way in a short period of time. He can make eye contact now, and his vision has improved significantly. In fact, the puppy’s progress astounded the veterinarian! His rescuer refuses to part with the little warrior because he is so loved and bonded to his new human friends (and who can blame her?!) You have to see it for yourself to believe it. It’s so heartwarming.
