Dog Confined To Filthy Cage In Scorching Heat Was Rescued Right Before Slaughter
March 27, 2022
Emily, a poor dog on a dog meat farm in South Korea, was confined to an empty, filthy cage. When rescuers from the Humane Society of the United States went to the meat farm to see her, it was a scorching hot day in July.
Emily was in excruciating pain. Her paws were raw, swollen, and in excruciating pain from standing on the wire floor where she had been living in isolation. She also lacked hair and had a severe case of mange that had never been treated and was only going to get worse.
Emily’s life had been a living hell, and it was only going to get worse now that she was about to be slaughtered. Fortunately, rescuers arrived just in time to save her from this ordeal. They were also able to save all 130+ dogs that Emily had brought to the meat farm!
Emily was taken to an animal hospital to be examined and treated for her injuries. She now resembles a completely different dog.
Her transformation is nothing short of amazing! Her hair began to grow in beautifully after she received treatment for her mange.
She is currently residing in Florida with her new family and is loving every minute of it. She has a large backyard to run around in and will never have to be confined to a cage again. She’s also making new canine friends and is a very friendly and sweet dog.
Emily finally gets to experience what it’s like to love and be loved thanks to the HSUS. She can sleep in a comfortable bed, eat real food, and play with real toys. This is the kind of life that every dog deserves!
Unfortunately, the dog meat farm where Emily worked is not the only one out there. South Korea is known to breed dogs for human consumption, and has thousands of farms across the country. HSUS will continue to fight to shut down all of these farms!
