Woman Rescued A Stray Dog, 17 Years Later She Had To Say A Touching Goodbye
March 27, 2022
Those who rescue and adopt a stray animal are the most admired. They have the biggest and kindest hearts of anyone I’ve ever met.
One of these people is Jesusita, a woman who does selfless acts with stray animals. She had seen a stray pooch on her doorstep when she was 17 years old. Jesusita was quick to help the poor dog, who was given the name Solovino, which means “he came alone” in Spanish.
He remained devoted to Jesusita. He was always by her side. He was a good and loyal friend to her. Years passed, and he became ill. Solovino was struggling and suffering from advanced arthritis.
His owner didn’t want him to go through any more pain. As a result, she made the decision to put him down humanely.
Kerry Armstrong, the founder of Home Dog LA, said they were contacted by a woman who wanted to rehabilitate her 17-year-old dog in a humane manner.
Sandra Shadic, a member of Home Dog LA, went to Jesusita’s house to assist in the pooch’s removal. But before taking him to the clinic, they gave him a special treat.
They shared one final meal together. After Jesusita said her final goodbyes to the dog, they took him and put him down. Solovino, may you rest in peace.
It’s difficult and painful to see our furry best friends pass away, but it would be selfish of us to cling to them even if they are in pain. Solovino had a happy and loving life with Jesusita for 17 years, and that was all that mattered.
