Loyal dog sacrificed his own life to save owners from home intruder

 There is no doubt about our dogs' loyalty and love for their owners, and while the following story is tragic, this loyal dog was a hero; he gave his life to save his family!

It happened in Merauke, Indonesia, when Achy Wijaya awoke in the morning to find his dog lying nearly lifeless in their yard. The night before, Achy had heard him barking.

Achy was devastated, according to NtdNews, when he learned that his dog had been poisoned on purpose:

“Our pet dog kept barking, so they didn’t rob us,” Achy wrote on her Facebook page. “We only found out when we got out of the house in the morning.” The thieves had poisoned our dog, which we discovered."

The family claimed they were asleep when a gang of thieves planned to rob their home, according to the tragic facts gathered…

Their dog began barking frantically, but no one bothered to check because they assumed the dog had noticed the cat.

The dog suddenly stopped barking, and the next morning it was discovered near death – lying in its own vomit with a sip of foam – indicating it was poisonous…

“We wanted to take him to the veterinarian, but we live in Papua, and the veterinarian usually only deals with livestock.” Furthermore, it was a Sunday, so the vet’s clinic was closed as well," Achy wrote.

The family attempted to help their dog by forcing him to drink milk, oil, and coconut milk, but he became too weak and died as a result.

And as Achy, heartbroken, mourned the death of his brave dog who gave his life to save his family, he filmed the final moments of his brave dog – to honor his pet’s life and to warn others to pay attention when their dogs bark!
