Ukraine Soldier Rescues And Adopts Abandoned Dog Found on Front Line

Our hearts continue to break for the people of Ukraine, who are enduring a Russian invasion that has upended millions of lives.

While the war is heartbreaking, the people of Ukraine have shared many inspiring stories with us. Regardless of the circumstances, people have found time to help animals in need.

One video shows a Ukrainian soldier taking the time to care for a dog found abandoned in a village.

The soldier was investigating a house in an abandoned village near Kyiv, according to Reuters. He found across a music box and started playing it.

The house wasn’t empty after all, as he discovered when a black, shaggy dog appeared.

The music seemed to alert her to the fact that someone had finally arrived to help her.

According to documents found in the house, the dog’s name is “Bavaria.” The soldier and the dog formed an instant bond.

Countless Ukrainians have been forced to flee their homes due to the war and bombings. However, crossing the border with pets is more difficult, and refugees are advised to leave their pets behind, so it’s not surprising that the dog was abandoned in the deserted village.

The soldier, on the other hand, was kind and took Bavaria with him. He intends to reunite the dog with her family, according to reports.

It’s clear that the dog was overjoyed to see someone willing to help her, and we’re sure it brightened the soldier’s day as well: an adorable dog can be a huge morale booster during a war.
