When we think of dogs, we usually picture them as loving, adorable pets who wag their tails when they see us and do all sorts of silly things. Police dogs, on the other hand, are specially trained to assist cops and other law enforcement officers in their duties.

Their work is vital, and they are frequently regarded as legitimate police officers by their human counterparts. The majority of human officers form a close bond with the police dogs with whom they are partnered and treat them as their righteous partners.

So it’s personal when something bad happens to one of these fogs. Bruno, the adorable dog in the video below, was injured while on duty. While on a mission with his partner, the seven-year-old dog was hit. Bruno was severely injured, but miraculously recovered.

The dog was reunited with his fellow officer, who also happens to be his best friend, after undergoing emergency surgery. The reunion was captured on video, and it will almost certainly bring tears to your eyes.
