American Cat café raises funds to help Ukrainian cats

Robert is a proud cat dad of eight and he runs the Purrfect Day Cat Café in Louisville, Kentucky.

Purrfect Cat Café has been serving up coffee and cocktails with a side of cat cuddling since August 2018.
With the help of their community, thousands of cats have been adopted from the café.

Robert doesn’t mind taking work home either. He has fostered over 100 cats since starting at the café three years ago.

“If everybody could just be like cats, the world will be a better place,” Robert said.

A couple of weeks ago, Robert read an article about the situation in Ukraine and about a cat café in Lviv, a city about ten thousand kilometers away from Kentucky!

The article reported that a Cat Café in Lviv was among the very few places that remained open despite the ongoing war in Ukraine.

“They said they were not going to leave the cats behind and that they’re gonna stay open no matter what, and that really got me!” Robert recalls.

Purrfect Day Cat Cafe started a fundraiser to help Ukranian cats and is inviting their followers to contribute with donations to provide food for homeless cats in Ukraine and support for the Ukrainian army.
