When I got home from the hospital, I heard Mildred croaking loudly outside my bedroom window. I went outside and she was sitting in a bare tree, all alone. It was as if she was trying to console me. It was truly amazing. Anne said.

The tree where Mildred normally lives is covered in foliage to protect her from the elements. But instead she chose to stay near Anne at the expense of her own convenience.

She stayed there all night. The next night, while her son was still in the hospital, Mildred stayed there again. Anne admitted.

Fortunately, on the third day of hospital stay, Anne’s son’s health improved and he was able to return home. His worried mother couldn’t feel much relief. And apparently Mildred noticed it too.
