Marathon Runner Pauses To Rescue Stray Puppy And Carries Him For 19 Miles

April 18, 2022

Khemjira Klongsanun is a 43-year-old Thai woman who enjoys running and has competed in several races. However, during one of her recent marathons in Ratchaburi, western Thailand, Khemjira demonstrated that she is not only a talented athlete, but also a compassionate human being.

When Khemjira saw the runners ahead of her dodging something in the road, she was seven miles into her 26-mile marathon. It was later discovered to be a stray Thai bangkaew puppy.

She decided to take a break from the marathon to help the puppy because there was no mother in sight and no houses nearby. She tried the trembling puppy over to her, picked it up, and carried it away. Rather than abandoning the puppy or giving her to someone else, she carried her all the way to the finish line.

She finished the marathon with the puppy in her arms, and she was happy because she had saved the poor puppy. The touching moment was recorded on video, and everyone was moved by her generosity.

Following the race, Khemjira attempted to locate the puppy’s owners, but no one responded. She came to the conclusion that the puppy had been abandoned, so she took her home and named her Nom Chom. The puppy is now in a loving home with her new human mother and canine companions, where she will be happy and loved.

“It could take a while for him to adjust.” Nom Chom, on the other hand, is a very bright young man. “I’m happy he’ll enjoy living with us,” Klongsanun said.

We believe that Klongsanun and many others will never forget this marathon.
