Charlie was tied to a garbage can. Hungry and lonely, the quadruped was lying in the scattered trash and waited for someone to finally notice him. The pet’s face was swollen from the beating.
A 2-year-old dog was spotted by a certain the couple who took him straight to the Philadelphia Animal Hospital. When the vets saw the quadruped, they were shocked.
“The inside of his cheeks and lips was completely covered with worms. He was so sore he wouldn’t even move. ” Said Adria Rebbecchi of the Philadelphia Animal Hospital.
Seeing how urgent Charlie’s situation was, the vets immediately started treating the dog.
Charlie. ” – added Adria Rebbecchi.
Charlie was given painkillers. Since the tissue on his cheeks and lips was too damaged, it had to be removed. Charlie’s trauma made it difficult for him to eat, so vets gave him small meals several times a day. The dog slowly began to recover and as the pain subsided, his sweet personality began to emerge.
“Ever since he came to us, he has always been very happy. Even though someone hurt him a lot once, he loved being around people. ”
Natalie Barber became one of Charlie’s favorite companions. The woman often visited the dog in the hospital and encouraged him. The vets knew Charlie was going to need someone to look after him. Natalie was the perfect candidate.
After three months of intensive care, Charlie has moved into his new home.
“Charlie quickly fell in love with his new home. She loves spending time with Natalie and her son Lucas. “
