Miracle Puppy Survives Brutal Stabbing Thanks To Her Heroic Adopter

Smoke, the Pit Bull puppy, has a tragic past, but she hides it well. Her previous human had stabbed her seven times, causing damage to her trachea and carotid artery. Smoke would not have survived if it hadn’t been for Brad Chambers' kindness.

Smoke is now one of the happiest and most loving dogs you’ll ever see. She has no traces of a traumatic past, and she has fully recovered from her injuries. None of it, however, would have been possible without the assistance of her new favorite human.

When Smoke was a scrawny puppy, she scurried under Chambers' truck in Virginia. He noticed she was bleeding when he approached her. The poor puppy was most likely fleeing the human who had hurt her. She had multiple stab wounds and didn’t appear to be going to live.

Fortunately, Chambers, who had previously served as a police officer, knew exactly what to do. In his truck, he had a trauma kit, which saved the puppy’s life. He then rushed her to a nearby animal hospital for additional care. Her wounds were so severe that she had to be transported out of state for surgery at North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

“She has fully recovered from all surgeries, has a lot of energy, and her loyalty is unwavering,” Chambers said.

Medical bills totaled at least $15,000 after all of her procedures. Chambers had to pay for some of it out of pocket, but he was able to raise the rest through fundraising. Smoke had to become a part of his family at that point, he realized.

Chambers chose Smoke because he believes he can provide her with the loving home she deserves. She has already broken free from her shell and revealed her true self in his presence. Chamber is looking forward to spending the rest of his life with the adorable Pit Bull.

Chambers described her as “one of the most loving dogs I’ve ever met.” “This is a dog who needs to find a home where her love will benefit everyone around her, and yes, I love dogs.”

Smoke is now studying to become a certified therapy dog because she is so loving. She can help others in need with her charming and upbeat attitude.

Smoke’s assailant has been apprehended and is facing animal cruelty charges. Chambers stepped in to provide the dog with the perfect home as soon as they relinquished ownership of the dog. Smoke will no longer have to be concerned about being hurt.
