Rescued Skinny Pit Bull Gets Full Belly And Learns To Walk Again!

Reese was found on the street. Nobody could figure out how this tiny baby managed to stay alive. Every bone in her frail frame could be seen because her body was in such a state of disarray. What kind of person would let something like this happen? What sort of person would do such a thing to her?

Animal Control was contacted, and Jersey Pits, a local rescue organization, was contacted in the hopes of saving her life. They sent a picture of their sleeping dog in the car’s back seat. Everyone who saw the photo started crying.

She was grateful for the numerous kisses she received from her new human friends, even when she couldn’t lift her head. It would be an understatement to say she was a loving dog. No dog deserves to be in such a dangerous situation, but a dog like Reese, who clearly has so much love to give, stands head and shoulders above the rest.

Reese’s medical team carried out the procedures required to help her recover. She was a diva who demanded a lot of attention. She was able to stand for a short time after a week in the hospital. It was a small victory, but it was something!

Reese took her first steps on her own a few weeks later. She was “sitting” and wagging her tail as instructed. She was released from the hospital after a month and returned to her medical foster home.

Reese’s foster mother, Ryn, said she was nervous during the car ride but “came alive” once she got to her foster home and realized she was safe. She eagerly grabbed toys and started playing with them. Reese was finally inside a home where she was wanted and cared for.

Reese transformed into a’real dog' in the blink of an eye. She’d charge onto the couch and demand to be entertained. She truly blossomed once she was healthy enough to go for walks. She realized there was a vast universe out there just waiting to be discovered.

Ryn reveals in the video that she had to loosen Reese’s collar every morning when they woke up. It was a huge achievement because it meant Reese was gaining weight and her health was improving! Reese’s health is improving, and she’s gaining weight. While Ryn recovers, she remains with her.

She’ll be up for adoption soon, and everyone who meets her thinks she’d be a great addition to any family. We’re overjoyed that Reese was discovered and revived so quickly. Thank you to all of the animal heros who persevered!
