As an urban explorer, Michael Vargas often ventures into less visible corners of urban landscapes to discover and document hidden and forgotten things. Recently, however, on one such adventure, he found a creature in serious trouble. Michael is in the right place at the right time.

The dog that got stuck in the sewer

Exploring the sewer near his home in Oakland, Michael Vargas and his companions decided to stop and take some photos of interesting graffiti on the walls. However, as it turned out, this accidental stoppage saved someone’s life. It’s about a helpless little dog stuck in a sewer waiting for someone to finally help him.

I was shocked to find a little white dog there. I couldn’t believe it. He was trapped. – Michael admitted.

I immediately thought I couldn’t leave him there. If I did, he wouldn’t survive. – Michael said.

Weak and confused

Overall, as Michael admitted, it took him about an hour to gain the dog’s trust enough to lure him closer to you.

He was very afraid of us. He was so confused and weak. Michael said.

A second chance at life

It’s unclear how this little dog ended up in such a hard-to-reach place, but Vargas thinks he wouldn’t have survived long if they hadn’t found him then. Interestingly, that day Michael not only saved this furry dog from death, but also gave him a second chance for a happy life.
