24 Before And After Pictures Of Pets Getting Transformations Due To Their Owners Love
April 26, 2022Love can change everything.
I am well aware that this may sound a little cliche at first since everyone uses the line ‘love can change the world,’ but it is pretty accurate in this case. After all, there are thousands of animals in rescue and adoption centers who need a loving home, and the only way they can get that is if people stop buying animals and instead go for an animal who is in desperate need of care. And that is what the following people have done.
I also know that sometimes people are actually fearful of adopting a pet since they aren’t aware of the detailed health history of the intended animals and thus don’t want the hassle. However, there is a big misconception that all animals in rescue or adoption centers are sick. Most of them are perfectly healthy even though they might look not as ‘beautiful’ as ones who have had a blowdry. So at the end of the day, it depends on the person and if they are willing to spend a little bit of extra time to get the beauties back to their full, healthy self.
The following people didn’t have any issues with that, so they tried their best to get these animals as healthy as possible, and some of these transformations are truly amazing and showcase what a little bit of care can do for an animal. So, just scroll below to take a look for yourself.

#4 Sonny required a little bit of support due to his health issues, but now he is living his best life.
2 years ago today I walked into a PetSmart and met a cat named Sonny who no one would adopt because he was 13 years old, covered in fleas, underweight, and had a mouth full of rotten teeth that had to be removed.
He came home with me that night and it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Dany was dumped in a recycling bin and made her way to us from a veterinarian her initial rescuer left her with. We got her at about 3 weeks old and had to hand-feed her.
Now she is filling out, and our timid little girl is playful and affectionate and has become the guardian of our home.

Here’s my 3-legged baby, Maisie! The picture on the left is the first one I took of her at the humane society in November 2018. The picture on the right is from a few weeks ago.
I was pretty depressed at the time of her adoption, but she has done wonders in helping me get out of that hole.
#12 I know this will be hard to believe, but the difference between these two pictures is only ten days.

What I am about to say may be a bit of a hard pill to swallow, but more than 6.3 million animals enter the animal shelters, and we are only talking about the US here, and of that, 6.3 million, close to 1 million animals are euthanized. While this number did fall from 2.6 million in 2011, we are nowhere near giving most animals in need the help they deserve. However, this has been getting better in recent years, and more than 4 million animals get adopted every year. So we can only hope that this number continues to climb in the coming years.
#13 One can just tell how excited Laney is in the after-picture by her ears.
#14 It is hard to imagine such a cute pup was hiding under all that matted fur.

My sweet soul dog, Nova. At the shelter, she was kept in a cat cage and could hardly move. I feel for the shelter, they were doing the best they could and were over capacity.
I saw her photo and she was up soon for being euthanized. So I made a 20-hour round trip to save her.
#23 It’s been one year since Catlyn was adopted, and her smile says everything.
#24 In only three months, this kitty went from being scared to the King of the house.
