A week later, Sammy posted an adorable video showing that he wasn’t joking about Chase being a healer. As you can see, Chase has wrapped himself around the injured leg, which remains bandaged.
“He is a true healer! I was in pain after my surgery. Then Chase showed up and made me feel so much better,” reads the captions.
Can Cats Be Healers?
Purrhaps, Chase is sending love and healing vibes into Sammy’s leg? And the purr of a cat has been shown to have healing effects! Well, cats often sense when their humans or other animals aren’t feeling their best and will cozy up, offering nurturing hugs and life-saving warmth, not to mention biscuit-making.
For example, we shared the story of Rademenes, a paralyzed cat from Poland who cleans and cuddles with sick animals in a veterinary hospital. Staff joke that the black kitty became a “full-time nurse” who frequently helps animals post-surgery. It’s fascinating that cats hone in on those who aren’t feeling well and offer their comforting presence and maybe energy to help them heal. Certainly, a cat’s affection is healing when sick or after a bad day.

The Furrha Family
Salem Furrha, his wife Samah, and their eight kids reside in California and began sharing videos on TikTok to pass the time during the pandemic.
“We got into social media because of covid,” Salem Furrha said. “We started doing family skits that were fun [and] got joy out of seeing people laugh. It was a really good feeling, and we decided to continue it’.
Soon after appearing on social media, the tight-knit family gained an enormous following. Part of the appeal is seeing how the family with 5 sons and 3 daughters gets along in close quarters. Today, they have over 8.5M TikTok followers and 2M YouTube followers.
“We wanted to show people we are a close-knit family and we always stick together,” Furrha said. “We try to make people understand how we can all get along even though there are a lot of people in one house.”
One never knows what this fun-loving family will get up to next. For example, the men of the family brought home a 500-pound tortoise to prank Mom.
